Practical study of Blow-room

Name of the experiment:  Practical study of Blow-room.

Object of the experiment:

1. To open compressed cotton fibers into small tufts.
2. To clean the fiber by removiup foreign matter/trash.
3. To mix througly the different component of fiber to give a homlogeueous blend.
4. To from a compact and unifrom lap or to feed opened, cleaned and blended waterial to chute feed.

Blow-room line arranged machine:

• Depends on type of fiber.
• Cotton.
• Polyester.
• Viscosw.

Different section of a Blow-room:

1. Bale opener/mixer.

Object:

1. To open the tuft of cotton.
2. To mix and blend the fiber.
3. To remove a considerable amount of trash from fiber which is taken out by for.
4. To act a reserver box for the next machine
2. Opening and cleaniup machine.
• Step clener.
• 2 or 3 blanded beater.
3. Hopper feeder with reserve box.
4. Scutcher/chut feed.

Cleaning efficiency (C.E)% = (Trash remove ÷ Total trash)

Original cotton trash = 7 %
Blow-room lap trash = 3 %

C.E = {(Total trash prosses cotton − Trash in lap) ÷ Total trash regin in cotton} × 100
       = {(7-3) ÷ 7} × 100
       = 57 %

Production of Blow-room:

∴ Production of Blow-room = RPM of Bottom calender roller × π × d
       Hear,
       x = 10 rpm;
       d = 9 inch

Setting points:

1. Clener machine. Speed up.
2. Setting of the greed bar.
3. Line loos
4. Beater speed.
5. R.H.
6. Humidifier and temprature control.

Conculation:

We have learned some machine name and their object in yarn manufacturing systrm by this experiment. It's very essential for our duture life. Thanks my dear houneable teacher who teach me this.
