NAME OF THE EXPERIMENT : Study on Study on marker making of a basic shirt.
Theory:
Marker is a thin paper which contains all the necessary pattern piece for all sizes for a particular style of garments. It gives special instruction for cutting. It can be done both manually and computerized method.
Objectives of this experiment:

- To learn about the marker making of a basic shirt.
- To learn about its importance.
- To learn the calculation of marker efficiency.
Apparatus:

- Marker paper.
- Scissor.
- Pencil.
- Eraser.
- Pattern Piece.
Working Procedure:

- At first we need to cut out the pattern.
- Spread the marker paper to suitable place.
- Place the pattern pieces on marker paper by ensure the properties of grain line, again we have to maintain the rules to produce maximum efficiency.
- Draw the copy of pattern on marker.
Marker Efficiency:The basic formula of marker efficiency,
Marker Efficiency = Area of the pattern in marker / total area of marker
Conclusion:
Our teacher and lab assistants are very much helpful to us. Their well teaching and instruction help us greatly to understand this practical. I think this practical will be very helpful in my future career.
